“Any friend of yours is a friend of mine.” is a POWER PHRASE.
When an old friend reaches out and asks if you could possibly help someone important to them, THIS is your answer.
It says to them:
- Say no more. If you like them I like them.
- I’ve been waiting for a way to do something to help you.
- I will give them more of my time and attention than you or they are asking for.
This phrase will catch people by surprise. It might even make them emotional. In a day when no one has time for anything that doesn’t ROI within 24 hours, this phrase is timeless.
It’s also the perfect way to accept a handoff when a friend copies you in a text/email to intro you.
“Any friend of Jack’s is a friend of mine.” says to the new person:
- Our love and trust for our mutual friend is a big deal to both of us.
- You can trust me.
- You are not bothering me.
- I am enthusiastic about helping you with whatever you need with no repayment of any kind.
Words are powerful.
